Festival of India in Denmark & Sweden 2006

 

 

The "Festival of India" provides a feast for the senses; we will entertain,

inspire and give a positive and wonderful experience of India; including:

" Traditional Indian dance

" Bhajans (devotional Indian music)

" Free vegetarian food

" and more

 

 

Dates and Places:

 

1- Denmark: Saturday 22nd of July - 2006, Copenhagen (Rådhus Pladsen -The

Town Hall Square-)

 

Program:

12.00 am to 2.00 pm - Ratha Yatra (Traditional chariot's procession)

2.00 pm to 2.10 pm - Opening Speech and Introduction

2.10 pm to 3.00 pm - Bhajans (Devotional music from India)

3.00 pm to 3.30 pm - Speech about the Vedic Culture

3.30 pm to 3.45 pm - Bharatanatyam dance (from UK)

3.50 pm to 4.30 pm - Kirtan (Devotional music from India)

4.35 pm to 5.00 pm - Indian dance (from UK)

5.00 pm to 6.00 pm - Closing Speech and thanking list

 

Additional activities:

-free vegetarian food from 2pm

-Tent for kids (Painting -gopi dots-, drawing, dance workshop, puppets and

more)

 

 

 

 

2- Sweden: Saturday 15th of July, Stockholm

 

Activities:

-Ratha Yatra (Traditional chariot's procession)

-Devotional music from India

-Speech about the ancient Vedic Culture

-Free vegetarian food (prasadam)

 

 

 

 

The "Festival of India" is organized by Kulturfremme Foreningen (Association

for Cultural Promotion) in collaboration with ISKCON in Denmark, England and

Sweden, Govinda´s Restaurant in Denmark and Sweden, DESINET (Denmark), Radio

Krishna (Denmark), Indian Community in Denmark and Sweden, private Companies

and people, etc.
