Guest guest
Please let me introduce myself to this group, to which I would aspire to become family in spirit. There are many scholarly individuals here I wish not to offend. Understand then that I am more poet than scholar and forgive me any imprecision in my words. As a poet then as I offer myself to your acquaintance herein, that you might know where I am comming from. Feel free to correct me as I try to deepen my understanding by engaging others here. When I think of Shakti worship, there are no visual images, no auditory names which, can compass my devotion. To me she is the life force, a kinetic energy which runs through desire to bliss. She is in the connection when the lingam rises, when the breath hesitates, when the heart leaps to the throat, when the smile first begins to appear, and when thoughts fade away in a tacit awareness of peace and unity. It is the skin which is the membrane that both separates and connects. All senses are modifications of the sense of touch. The body is indeed the great mandala, a microcosm which reflects the macrocosm. Shakti sleeps in the sacrum, in exile like the Shekhina awaiting lovers to wake to her presence. Her only wish is to teach us, to lead us, to see her immanence in all things created and uncreated. And to become her lover as Shiva, the unrealized potential. Shiva is consciousness, yet consciousness arises from primal awareness as the lingam rises from the yoni, born as the personal self and as the transcendent Self. Shakti is the primal ground of pure awareness from which maya and moksha relate in perfect dance. In awareness I embrace all, the within and the without. In awareness I find her, my mother, my sister, my beloved, my heart core. Returning to her breast I worship. Returning to her womb I find the bindu : I AM – my "original face" before conception in any time or space. "Arjay"

Hello RJ. Welcome to the group. I am glad to see you here. >There are many scholarly individuals here I wish not to offend. >Understand then that I am more poet than scholar and forgive me any imprecision in my words. > As a poet then as I offer myself to your acquaintance herein, that > you might know where I am comming from. Let me introduce myself to you : I am the comoderator and the webmaster of Shakti Sadhana Org. Im neither a scholar nor a poet. Just a housewife trying to make herself useful and stay out of trouble. My husband sigh in relieve, thanking Devi that I rather spend the time infront of the computer doing all this instead of the TV watching the Drama serial. My dark secret have been revealed by Ganpra. I dont know how he knows that I collect comic book.. yes! I have no choice but to confess it publicly. My favourite is [ as I am very much Asian at heart] is The Lat series : Lots of Lat, Lat the Kampung Boy etc.. I have send 3 copies to Devi Bhakta too. He said after his 7yrs old son read the cartoon, now he wants to run around the house naked. >Feel free to correct me as I try to deepen my understanding by engaging others here.> When I think of Shakti worship, there are no visual images, no > auditory names which, can compass my devotion. We never admit ourselves as being the authority in Shakti Sadhana. You are right in whatever you believe in, how can we say you are wrong. We are here to share and exchange information. Some comes to seek guidance. We do not give guidance. We just point the way : this is where u can find such and such. That is all.
Guest guest
Welcome RJ. I used to go by RJ sometimes so I thought you were joking, at first But Welcome. Poets are always needed. At least they respect their own words enough to use spell check and some meter on what most people otherwise blurt out like vomit and then step over as soon as possible - yes, upon words. Words considered.... So I liked your poem but I feel that you use ideas of rising and falling in a sort of motif which doesn't really match my experience of Shakti as being always flowing perpetually, which is why she is Maya. If there were no flow of awareness it would be over. So always a flow, a flow which one can tap their mind into, their heart into and even their body into, and which heals all stress, fear, sickness, heartache, if one just can give themselves over to the flow. Since the flow is oneself. The more a human has functional hormones and regular chemicle balance the more one should quickly be able to feel shakti naturally since where does music come from? It comes from the meter or chandas within - the dancing dakini, which is Ma. With some meditation - This is why the young and healthy run around always doing things. Because Ma has them dazzled. But then the ones start to question and run around seeking, asking why? Until they just stop. And find Her again within. With some meditation - And then to merge with her again, Ma Tripura Kundalini. Vaishvara Lake of tawny, gold, red and tinted water. Of course Ma is also not separate from Dhumavati who is not separate for a second from Shiva in pure concentration. I just mention that the young, which I am no longer, are regular little soma pumping machines which is why parents always try to keep those healthy little loins girded for as long as possible. Brahmacharaya. With some meditation - I only followed that path (brahmacari) for two years. I was a regular soma pumping station for awhile. I was a deva drinking fountain. But in life things aren't always so simple as that lifestyle, except for Ma. She doesn't go away ever, even when one seems bad or wrong. And so even executioners do worship her, and people with half a brain shot away who are stuck on life support. In fact, She is all that was alive anyway from the very first. All the rest was just illusion. Forgive my little lecture by way of greeting, and my joy at hearing pretty words of experience turned to Ma Adishakti Pragyaparamita. If one just turns the inner eye directly on itself it's as if Mahakali has chopped ones head off. Yeah for that!!! Thank you Mahakali! I look for you in the inner city of the Manipura. - RJ Tuesday, May 16, 2006 2:52 PM Introduction Please let me introduce myself to this group, to which I would aspire to become family in spirit.
