Guest guest
> Are there sastric or "Prabhupada Said" definitions of "blasphemy" and > "offense"? The etymological development of the word aparadha is radhat arthat aradhanat-apagatah, which means "to be distanced from worship". Offenses commited at the lotus feet of Vaisnavas, the Devotees, distance one from devotional service to the Supreme Lord. But in a higher sense it means to be removed from the service of Radha. All divine service to Krsna is being conducted under her direction. To offend her servitors is to make one unfit for her divine service. from "Heart of Krsna" by Srila Bhakti Promod Puri Goswami Maharaja

So, could we try to limit responses to "Prabhupada said"? Thanks. your servant, Hare Krsna dasi

Guest guest
Sorry, that was my mistake this time. I received this text in Krsna katha conference and didn't notice that Prabhupada said is also a receiver. ys bh. didzis

I see two problems here. One is that the question was posted to two conferences. Such cross-posting often causes problems such as this. In this sense, then, the responsibility is at least partly Bhakti-vikasa Maharaj's. Didzis admitted that he didn't notice that the "Prabhupaa Said" conference was also a receiver, so it may partly be his responsibility. However, if we look at Maharaj's question, he was asking for an authoritative definition, either from the shastras or from Srila Prabhupada. If Didzis considers that B.P. Puri Maharaj's books are based entirely on the authority of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, the Goswamis, acaryas, Srila Bhaktivinoda and Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakuras, I don't see how there's any fault in his posting. Those who objected could also have checked and found that the question was posted to another conference besides "Prabhupada Said."
