Dear Isvara Prabhu,

 

It's nice Dr. Kapoor dedicated his book to Srila Prabhupada, but that does not

mean it's philosophy is as sure as if Srila Prabhupada wrote it, nor does it

indicate how much emphasis those who want Srila Prabhupada's line as their

source of siksha should place on it. Not Dr. Kapoor, I am sure, but others

dedicate works to Srila Prabhupada to get a larger potential sales or so that

Srila Prabhupada's credibility will rub off on them.

 

For clarification on Srila Prabhupada's desires, I feel it is best to listen to

Srila Prabhupada himself and those who have dedicated their lives to Srila

Prabhupada (if we value a dedication in a book, how much more should we value a

dedication of a life). Especially when the discussion is concerned with what to

do within ISKCON, Srila Prabhupada advised us not to go to his godbrothers etc.

for advice, his siksha on this matter is well documented. Vyasaki prabhu's

experienced letter on this conferance reinforces this attitude of Srila

Prabhupada's in relation to Dr. Kapoor.

 

Srila Prabhupada certainly had godbrothers, as his spiritual master had many

disciples, but that only says for certain they were most fortunate and blessed

to share his spiritual master and have Srila Prabhupada's association, and they

deserve our proper respect by the rules of Vaishnava etiquette. It does not

indicate however, by any logical argument, that there is any comparative

spiritual status by virtue of being his godbrother.
