Guest guest
Gauri Das Prabhuji, Pamho. AgtSP. The webmaster of ramdas.org is Mayavadi. What is the fault of Ramadas Swami ? He is a personalist. He was a co-guru of King Shivaji alongside Sant Tukarama. In Maharashtra everybody considers Sant Ramadas as the incarnation of Maruti ( Hanuman ). His renunciation is comparable to Shukadeva Goswami. In knowledge is comapared to Vasishta. In poetic ability is compared to Valmiki. Twelve years he chanted Ram's name standing in Godavari river. 13th year he chanted gayatri and got swarupa siddhi. YS, Bh. Shrirang. Talk to your friends online with Messenger. http://im. I am sorry if my jugement may have been too quick but it was based on evaluation of the said web site, which contains numerous Mayavadic statements. I also looked at the examples of Ramdas Swami's writings published there, and found some statements that appeared quite impersonalistic to me. This is why I posted my comment. If you know for sure that Ramdas Swami was a Vaisnava, than what I have seen on that web site must be a perverted translation of his writings. If this is the case, I sincerely apologize before Ramdas Swami and all Vaisnavas. Now I feel it is my duty before you and other devotees to go back to that web site and analyze Ramdas Swami's writings more carefully. Then I will post my findings in this conference. Please try to understand my intentions here. You can't deny the fact that some Mayavadis do chant Hare Krishna and praise Krishna in many ways but their intention is really to praise themselves and disrespect Lord Krishna. First, upon seeing the poem that you have posted, I was under the impression that it's an authentic Vaisnava poem, in fact a very nice one. Then I have asked you for a reference and went to that web site with sincere desire to learn more about the author. After what I found there, I felt like warning the devotees. The poem is, indeed, wery nicely written and I was worried that if it was authored by Mayavadi, the devotees who would read or distribute it, may get contaminated. Sounds very fanatical but I prefer to take literally Mahaprabhu's instruction in this regard. Better safe than sorry. > In Maharashtra everybody considers Sant Ramadas as the > incarnation of Maruti ( Hanuman ). > > His renunciation is comparable to Shukadeva Goswami. > In knowledge is comapared to Vasishta. It may very well be all true and I don't want to deny or agree now. As I said, I want to research the issue more carefully to either validate my previous findings or eradicate a possible aparadha. Withholding judgment at this point makes sense to me. Maybe in addition to simply doing your own research, you might want to check with some senior Vaisnavas who may be more familiar with Ramadas Swami. If he's such an important figure in Maharasthra, it seems like devotees in Chowpatty and Juhu would know more. I'd really appreciate this, especially before you post any more public warnings.
