Guest guest Posted April 8, 2000 Report Share Posted April 8, 2000 There were some questions about Sivaratri earlier in this conf. The Sivaratri story is described in Garuda Purana 1.124. One sinful king went to the forest to hunt and by coincidence the blood from the killed animal/s (bird/s?) fell on a siva-linga under the tree which pleased Siva.
