Guest guest
Dear devotees, Dandavats. All glories to Srila Prabhupada and ISKCON. What I understand from Bhagavadgita As It Is by A.C. Bhakti Vedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada on the above verse is: Krishna is talking here simply about a simple sadhana bhakta. The means and the goal are the same, in devotional service. The Holy Name is the means and the goal is also the Holy Name. Bhakti is the means to the goal which is again Bhakti. In the beginning we practice Bhakti that is Sadhana and in the end the prayojana is also Bhakti to Lord Krishna. At the Sadhana stage also there is love. If there was no love why would a devotee offer "Patram, pushpam, phalam, toyam" to Krishna. In the advanced stage also there is love. The means is loving devotional service and the goal is also loving devotional service. So in this verse Lord Krishna is telling for those Sadhana Bhaktas, who are serving Him with love in the association of devotees under the direction of a bonafide spiritual master, Lord Krishna will give them intelligence/ and understanding by which they can come to Him. Please forgive me and correct me if I am wrong. Your humble servant, Bhadra Govinda Das.
