Namaparadha parityagera upaya-

Avisranta name nama-aparadha jaaya

If one chant's the Name continuously without stoppage then the

nama-aparadhas will disappear.

[(9) Avisranta nama- kevala daihika karjya sampanna korite je

visramadira avasyaka, tat vyatita anya sakala samaye kaakutira

sahita nama korile namaparadha ksaya haya. Anya kona subhakarma va

prayascitte namaparadha ksaya haya na.]

Continuous chanting means:

Chanting all the time expect what is required for bodily maintainence

activities like resting etc. This continuous chanting should be done with

great feeling & urgency. The offenses cannot be eliminated by any other way

including the process of engaging in pious activities or atonement.

tabe aparadha kabhu sthana nahi paya

Only by continuous chanting will the offenses never take hold and one can

keep them at bay.

diva ratra nama laya, anutapa kore

tabe aparadha jaaya nama phala dhore

If one chants the Name day & night with great repentance and determination

then and only then will all the offenses will be obliterated and the Name

will bear fruit.

aparadha jaate suddha namera udaya

As soon as the offenses cease, the chanter will become qualified to chant

the pure Name and enter the kingdom of God.

suddha nama bhavamaya ara premamaya

The pure Name will bring the chanter to the platform of bhava and then prema

and is synonymous with both these stages.

dasa-aparadha jena hrdaye na pase

On such a platform the ten offenses will never again enter into the heart of

the chanter and he will continuously taste the highest transcendental bliss

engaged in his constitutional loving service to the Lord in the spiritual

realm.

{Comment: So my dear devotees, let us take continuous, uninterrupted shelter

of the Holy Names and achieve the highest platform in a short time.}

This extract is by Srila Haridasa Thakura describing the glories of the

chanting the Holy Name to Lord Caitanya on the request of the Lord and is

found in the book Hari-nama-cintamani by Thakura Bhaktivinoda, which is a

necklace worn around the necks of the those highly elevated sadhakas who

consider the chanting of the Holy Names to be more dear to them then their

own life-breadth.
