Guest guest
In Varanasi, there was a great vaisnava saint named Ramanada Swami. He had a nice disciple called Ananda Swami. Ananda Swami had two disciples Agra Dasa and Kilaji. Agra Dasa was very detached. Lord Vishnu became very happy with him and revealed to Agra Dasa His divine form. Once during a famine, one lady abandoned her baby near the bank of the Ganges. Agra Dasa saw the crying baby-boy. He brought the baby to his ashram. He named the boy - Nabhaji. Special Mercy Nabhaji grew up under the supervision of Agra Dasa and became a great devotee himself. A lot of Vaisnavas and Sadhus used to come to the ashram of Agra Dasa to take prasadam. Nabhaji used to eat the remnants of those sadhus. Once, Agra Dasa was chanting Lord Vishnu’s name. He was wishing to see the Lord again. However the Lord did not come. Agra Dasa was worried. However, the little boy Nabhaji told him not to worry. Nabhaji said, “The Lord is busy rescuing one sailor who has promised to give one fifth of his property, if he is saved from the storm in the ocean.” After some time, the Lord came and the Lord’s yellow dhoti was wet. Agra Dasa was surprised. The Lord said that he was busy rescuing the businessman from the ocean. The Lord said to Agra Dasa, “You feed so many vaisnavas every day. This businessman had promised to give fifth portion to you in charity. So I saved him.” After the Lord went back to Vaikuntha, Agra Dasa called Nabhaji. He asked the boy, “How did you learn that the Lord was busy rescuing the businessman’s boat from the storm in the ocean?” Nabhaji said, “Since I have been eating the remnants of all the vaisnavas who dine here, I have the special mercy of the Lord.” Please chant Hare Krishna.
