I am not coming to any conclusions and I am in no position to judge whether the book is bonafide or not but here are some points to add to the discussion: (1) Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saravasti Thakura did not refer to this book or print it as per my knowledge. He was very careful about several Bengali books which he said were not authorized. For eg. he said that Advaita Prakash is not authorized according to the source below but still it was printed by Pundarika Vidyanidhi Prabhu in Vrindavan. >From notes on BSST by Bhakti Vikasa Swami: Even some books that were reported to be Vaisnava books he never accepted, not believing things that were written in them. These were books like "Advaita Mangal" and "Advaita Prakash", which were about Advaita Prabhu. Also that which was written about Narahari Sarakara of Srikhanda, and songs bogusly ascribed to him he never accepted. According to historians, Narahari Sarakara worshiped Lord Caitanya as Gauranga-nagara, the enjoyer of Visnupriya, which is bogus and apasampradayic. (told by Jotisekhara Prabhu) (2) Prabhupada also says somewhere in Cc that there are many unauthorized books in Bengali. I can't find the reference now. He says that specifically regarding one book, Sitadvaita carita: "In an unauthorized book of the name Sitadvaita-carita, published in Bengali in the unauthorized newspaper Nityananda-dayini in 1792 Sakabda (A.D. 1870), it is mentioned that Acyutananda was a class friend of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu. According to Caitanya-bhagavata, this statement is not at all valid. " (Cc Adi 12.17) I have to check it again but Advaita Prakash which was published by Pundarika Vidyanidhi Prabhu commits the same mistake of Acyutananda being a contemporary of LC in one of the later chapters where they visit Vrindavan together and roam round like friends or contemporaries. Also there was a book sent as as an attached file to Krsna Katha recently by Radha Raman Prabhu called 'Rasaraj Sri Gauranga' by Haridas babaji. I read a part of the book and I was shocked to see that he quotes from Narahari Sarkara Thakura's songs, Locana dasa Thakura, Murari Gupata, Krishnadas Kaviraja etc etc to prove that LC was the enjoyer of the young damsels of Navadvipa. Infact he goes on to say that unless one realizes this one cannot enter into Radha-Krsna lila in Vrindavan. I was disturbed by reading the quotes from Narahari Sarkara Thakura which seem quite favouring his point of view until I read from Bhakti Vikasa Swami's notes that Bhaktisiddhanta rejected this so-caaled songs bogusly ascribed to Narahari Sarkara Thakura. So in such circumstances if one raises the question of the authencity of a newly published book in Bengali never heard before then I feel it is not unjustified.
