Guest guest
>One shining example of a great sadhu in our movement, to the eternal >glorious credit of Srila Prabhupada, was Srila Gour Govinda Swami, yet how >many devotees came for his association? In fact many were very >disrespectful. And to the eternal glorious credit of Srila Gour Govinda Swami Maharaj, there are many shining examples among his disciples. Also to the eternal glorious credit of Srila Gour Govinda Swami Maharaj, there are many shining examples among his godbrothers and godsisters. The main problem is we always think, that there are no pure devotees among those living with us, and that pure devotees are a species of the past, or a species of the future. (Missing link ??--Darwinism in parampara system!?). To the eternal glorious credit of Srila Prabhupada, there is (fortunately for Kaliyuga souls) not just one Gaur Govinda Swami Maharaj, or just one Janananda Prabhu. There are many. You say many did not come to take the association of Gaur Govinda Swami Maharaj. Similarly many did not realise Prabhupad's glory even though they met him personally, only a few sincere and fortunate souls surrendered to him. In India out of 70 to 80 thousand people who attended his pandal programs at New Delhi and Bombay only one or two came forward for his association and surrendered to him. Same thing is happening now also. There are many sincere souls trying very hard, to spread Srila Prabhupad's movement among his disciples and granddisciples and well wishers. And that too in the most trying conditions which was never seen in the history of Mahaprabhu's Sankirtana movement. The movement is being attacked from within and without. Sadly many of us do not understand that Srila Prabhupada is empowering all the sincere members of ISKCON , Krishna is empowering them. We think, that some body is there outside ISKCON in some matha, who can give us all rasas, or some Acarya will come and give us all rasas in the future and now inside ISKCON we do not have Acaryas to give any rasas. Srila Prabhupada called this "familiarity breeds contempt". Please correct me if I am wrong. Srila Gaur Govinda Swami Maharaj Ki jaya. Srila Prabhupada Ki jaya. Your humble servant, Bhadra Govinda Das.
