There are definitely other manuscripts of the MMS, and the "sri

govinda" verse appears as text eight in a typewritten manuscript I

received some twenty years ago from another devotee--it was said to be

the manuscript Prabhupada was working on, but I can't verify this. That

version has 60 verses. But the verse also appears as text five in the

MMS published as part of H.H. Bhaktisaranga Gosvami Maharaja's _Sri

Stava-kalpa-druma_ (pg. 364), published in Vrindaban (Imlitala: Sri

Mahaprabhu Mandira, 1959. That version also has 60 verses. I'm sure

there are other manuscripts too, but I don't know any more details.

In his Dvadasa-stotras, Madhva makes a similar comparison, saying

that the name of Krishna is the most potent drug. But I can't recall the

verse offhand.

This appears as text 20 in both Prabhupada's alleged mss. and

the SKD MMS.

This one is in Prabhupada's alleged manuscript (text 18), as well

as in the SKD version (again, as text 18).

Here's one I like:

"I worship Mukunda, in the form of a cowherd boy, with blooming

eyes like lotus petals, with teeth like little jasmine buds, white as the

moon, like tiny conchshells. His lotus feet are worshipped by hosts of

gods headed by Indra; He is the son of Vasudeva, and His residence is Sri

Vrndavana."
