Guest guest
A few years ago I asked Kusakratha Prabhu about Garga Samhita. He didn't have any pramanas to offer about it. I don't think that he has heard about the allegations that it was written by the Vallabhas. The book is quoted by In his Navadvipa-dhama-mahatmya Pramana-khanda chapter three Thakur Bhaktivinode has quoted Garga Samhita seven times. Also in a note to Garga Samhita 5.24.83 (a verse which predicts Mahaprabhu) Kusakratha Prabhu mentions that this verse is quoted in Navadvipa-dhama-mahatmya Pramana-khanda although I have not been able to find it there. I should point out that the fact that Bhaktivinode has quoted the book does not mean that the book was not written by the Vallabhas. It is only evidence that Bhaktivinode found it useful for his preaching. Concerning the Vallabhas if this book was contrived by them it makes one wonder why they would add some predictions of Mahaprabhu.
