Guest guest
But why to distribute the Full Set of Prabhupada's books? Why not a lesser amount of books? In our war against Maya, we have to utilize our complete arsenal. Back to Godhead, as Srila Prabhupada described, is a single bullet. A subscription to BTG sent out monthly through the mail is like automatic fire. Then there are the paperback books. Each one is like a grenade. They are something more likely to remain in a person's home. Then we have the heavy artillery, bombshells fired one by one or in short salvos. They are the hardbound books. They cause permanent damage as they plummet into people's homes. Sometimes they lay latent for many years, waiting to explode as soon as they are pulled down from a bookshelf. But then there is the brahmastra, the nuclear warhead, the Full Set! This is no ordinary weapon, but one capable of delivering the final blow against Maya, the one that can end the war. The Full Set solidifies Krishna consciousness in the purchasers life, leads them to becoming life members or fully initiated devotees. To be effective, the Full Set brahmastra must be strategically armed. ISKCON must have distributors trained in the art of launching this devastating weapon into the homes of the fortunate. These soldiers, although expert in all types of warfare, will take advantage of any opportunity when it presents itself to deliver a Full Set. As Maya retreats, more and more of these opportunities will arise. Every temple is a base from which we send out our soldiers to battle Maya, and so should have at least one man capable of launching Full Set brahmastra. It is not necessary to decrease any other programmes, but just add this powerful weapon to our arsenal. As Srila Prabhupada has said: ''We will always have customers for our books... now simply sell books and become rich.'' That is why now we have introduced in Mumbai the full set an we have already sold around 10 sets: The Vedic Encyclopedia - 108 volumes (ONLY FOR INDIA) The Complete Teachings of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada Your guide to the art of living! A must for your family... A spiritual counsellor & authority in your home... NAME VOLS. Recently I have read your message and got very inspired. Here in South America we have a hard time getting books, we never have all books (Caitanya Caritamrta was never printed in Spanish). Now I hope to get some Bhagavatam-sets (first time that full sets reach here). Chile is quite poor and there is no stable congregation that could support giving the books more cheaper to people. So I´m trying to distribute more big books (thats actually what Prabhupada wanted) and ask you to give me more hints of how to distribute more quantity of big books to people. As you say there must be training... Soon I´m also going to Los Angeles to make some Airport distribution there and get inspiration. Hope this meets you well Bhakta Andreas _______________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.
