Guest guest
Kirtananda brahmacari asked Sarasvati Thakura to keep some money aside, because the devotees had dedicated their lives. If there were medical expenses or some emergency, then some money would have to be spent. Sarasvati Thakura said, "You go and preach to the people, and if they are convinced they will help you. If not they may not give to you. Try to convince them that the path of Lord Caitanya is absolutely good. Otherwise if you just go to collect money, it will just be a profession. When you preach, people will put many questions to you and examine you. You must give clear answers to them, then you can spread the message of Lord Caitanya. If you try to satisfy the public for the purpose of collection, then it is a mahanta math. Every day go to the householders." >From Bhakti Vikasa Swami's book on SBSST Our ISKCON Collectors should take very serious note of this and try to first convince people to accept the path of Lord Caitanya, answer their questions and then receive their donation. To make them into devotees should be much more important to us than their money. So we should preach and collect money not just approach people for their money and then forget about them. This is my humble observation. Vaisnava dasabhas Nayana-ranjana das
