I heard that Srila Prabhupada wanted all the book distributors first scrutinisingly read the book before distributing the same. It is also said we should some how take people's Lakshmi and some how use in Krishna's service, and the people get the benefit indirectly this way, whether they understand and apply the philosophy directly or not. That is what ever Lakshmi is taken must be properly utilised in Krishna's service.
