Mahanta Math - To satisfy public just for collection is a profession

In the original text posted by Nayanaranjana Prabhu, actually the comment is

from Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Thakur. When Thakur says, that if

donations are taken with out preaching the Math becomes simply a Mahanta Math,

which is actually supposed to be Krishna Math.

 

The uniqueness of ISKCON is our organisation is not recognised by the public

as Srila Prabhupada's mission simply because he put Krishna in the center of

the organisation and not himself. The fact is more people know all our

temples as 'Hare Krishna' temple around the world and not one person of our

society including Srila Prabhupada is projected outside our organisation.

 

Otherwise if some one had put himself in the center instead of Krishna, then

as Srila BSST said, our organisation, or temples would have simply become

'Prabhupad' mission, or 'Prabhupad' math or some individual in our society

would have become more famous than the *Hare Krishna* or *ISKCON*. All

glories to Srila Prabhupada and his sincere followers who have projected

Krihsna and the society ISKCON to the whole world and not some individual.

 

Most of the Kaliyuga spiritual organisations have simply become Mahanta Maths,

where instead of keeping God in center they have put Mahanta in the center.
