Guest guest
I have heard from some devotees, (or read somewhere) about direct 1 to 1 relationships between each leg of religion and a regulative principle: eg that meat eating breaks the leg 'mercy'. I guess this must be pure speculation, because from SB 1.17.26 and 27, it is clear (and specifically confirmed by Srila Prabhupada's purport to Verse 27, that austerity is spoilt by pride, cleanliness by too much affection for female association, mercy by intoxication, truthfulness by lying propaganda. Is there any other different explanation anywhere else in Srila Prabhupada's books, to support the linking of the 4 legs to the 4 regs by some devotees?
