Guest guest
> >In similar manner, we will accept that sastric statement is true, and as > >liberated soul, Srila Prabhupada KNOWS AS MUCH AS KRISHNA DESIRES, since > >his liberation is not independent from Krishna's will. > > The statement in Vedanta Sutra is that the mukta is omniscient, not as you > like to imagine above. The statement in Vedanta is not pin-pointing this detail of dependancy. As I say, I do accept sastra and acaryas. In particular verse you quoted, it is not elaborated on how exactly is mukta omnicient. And I have presented simple possibility, which we might consider to avoid possible offences, and conduct further research. My thoughts were not intended to be an absolute statement. Are you concluding that this omniciency is supposed to be absolute and independent from Krishna? If so, on whose authority? > How are you to determine how much Krishna desires > the mukta to know? Why are you asking "me" about quantity? It's just the fact that opulence of Krishna's pure devotee is never oposed to Krishna's desire, therefore purity, and it depends on Krishna how and when He will reveal the glory of his devotee. > Sri Vyasa in Vedanta Sutra seems to think Krishna > desires the mukta to be omniscient. Baladeva Vidyabhushana seems to agree > with Vyasa Muni. Ramanujacharya also agrees with Vyasa Muni. All three of > them say the mukta is omniscient. Yes! Still, you are giving a "hint" that this omnicience is absolute, and of the same quantity as Krishna's. In respectful way, let me present my doubt of your capability to determine with absolute assurance the practical application of pure devotee's omnicience. My statement was written in all caution. It is just a thought... I am surprised that it is difficult for you to see my statement as one in accordance with acaryas statements. It IS possible for pure devotee not to be aware of every atom, and every situation. His purity is in his unconditional devotional service. And opulences are awailable to him. It is not that without any consideration, pure devotee is reading minds of all his disciples, and visioning all situations. His power depends on Krishna's will. >You on the other hand like to think > otherwise. It is your personal preference to think that I think othervise. Both statements can exist simultaneously... > > >Although Arjuna IS liberated soul, still, KRISHNA covered his omnicience. > > Arjuna was covered by the maya of the Lord according to the Lord's desire, > and acted as a conditioned soul - not a liberated soul. He might have acted as "conditioned" soul as long as Krishna wanted. That's the point. He "stopped" to act as conditioned soul, after unconditional surrender. There was no conditioned soul being capable of surrender in such an awkward situation, with his sublime culture and character, where he had to kill his own family members, to carry out the will of Krishna. Conditioned soul just can't do it! (I'm not speaking of mentaly sick people, but of Aryan cultured, Dharma consciouss person) > Srila Prabhupada > was not playing the role of a conditioned soul to be enlightened by the > Lord - he was the self-effulgent acharya absolutely free form the > influence of illusion. It seems you are playing with emotions... If you read history of acaryas, you will see that they had gone through period of trial and "preparation". Why would absolutely omnicient devotee need "lifetime of preparation" if he knows everything? Why going to school, and even as self-effulgent Acarya adjusting his previously made decisions when with time they have proven to be ineffective, and in need of adjustment? Didn't Srila Prabhupada said that omniciency means that pure devotee knows everything about devotional service? ["and not that..."] My humble understanding is that Krishna is in control of how His devotee is going to take credit for what Krishna already arranged... Prabhupada did went through genuine trials and showed us how to surrender unconditionally. By taking away this dimension from him, you might err. Prabhu, please forgive me if I made some offences.
