Guest guest
This comes from Srila Prabhupada, not Lord Caitanya as far as I can say. Quotes: Similarly, we do not expect that the whole population of the human society will be taking to this brahminical culture; but even one percent of the whole population accepts this brahminical culture, KŠa consciousness, then the whole world will be peaceful. Not even one percent, less than one percent. It is so nice. ... So it is not expected, however, that cent percent population of the world will be such free from all contamination. But even a certain percentage only, even most insignificant, one percent or less than that, millions in one, then the face of the world will change. (Lecture - Los Angeles, December 4, 1968) Of course, we do not expect that everyone will accept this philosophy, but even one percent population of the whole world accepts this... (Engagement lecture - Buffalo, April 23, 1969) And at least if one percent of the whole population becomes KŠa conscious, the whole world will be a different world. (SB lecture 5.5.2 - Boston, April 28, 1969) So try to preach this cult. But not that everyone will accept, but even a few percent, one percent of the whole population accept. (SB lecture 1.15.1 - New York, November 29, 1973) Not cent percent, but even one percent man becomes ideal, the ninety-nine percent will see and follow. (Room Conversation - May 21, 1975 Melbourne) ®r…la Prabhup€da: Yes, but example is better than precept. If even one percent of the population is trained as ideal men, the other ninety-nine percent will see and follow. (BTG - Srila Prabhupada Speaks Out) "If one percent of the readers become devotees," he wrote, "that will change the world." Whereas mail-order advertisers were satisfied with a five-percent response, ®r…la Prabhup€da spoke of an even smaller percentage-one percent-whom he thought could become pure devotees in response to receiving a book. (SP Lilamrta Vol. 6, 45) Hope this helps. Your servant, bh.
