Guest guest
> One Pujari told me , that it was not proper to offer tulasi leaves to > pictures. They should only be offered to Deities. Where's His pramana for that? Did you accept that statement he made on his personal oppinion without pramana? Pujari's and really all devotees who give siksa must give pramanas. and sastra pramana is the usual standard. then guru and sadhus pramana which should expain and comment on the quoted sastra pramana. (1) is that pujari saying that Krsna is not in the picture and so Krsna there does not need tulasi leaves to eat? I quoted Padma purana pramana, "krsna will not eat or drink without tulasi" unless he's got pramana for not using tulasi leaves on pictures, If one has access to dry tulasi leaves one should certainly use it. if Krsna is non different from His photo, and all vishnu tattva require tulasi leaves, then why not put tulasi? of course if you have no tulasi, you can touch a dry stick of tulasi wood to each item as a sanga of tulasi, wash off the stick and re-use it again. or mentally put leaves on it, but really, if one has dried leaves they should use it.
