Guest guest
Haribol, There are many important points in these first few sentences in Caitanya Bhagavat, Madhya-khanda, First Chapter. It is good to meditate on these things and try to somehow or other cultivate the desire to align ourselves with this nectarean Krishna-katha, the highest, most potent and most sublime mercy available in the world today. ------------------------ Caitanya Bhagavat Madhya-khanda 1: Sri Mahaprabhu Starts the Sankirtana Movement All glories, all glories to Lord Visvambhara the crest jewel amongst the brahmanas! All glories to the beloved associates of Lord Visvambhara! All glories to Lord Gauracandra, the stalwart amongst all religious preachers, the safe bridge to the spiritual sky! He has fully subdued His physical and mental urges.* * viz, Nectar of Instruction, verse 1: vaco vegam manasah krodha-vegam jihva-vegam udaropastha-vegam etan vegan yo visaheta dhirah sarvam apimam prthivim sa sisyat A sober person who can tolerate the urge to speak, the mind's demands, the actions of anger and the urges of the tongue, belly and genitals is qualified to make disciples all over the world. All glories to the Lord, He possesses incomparable beauty and is the embodiment of the congregational chanting of the Holy Name of Krsna! All glories to Lord Gauracandra for He is the dearest friend and life of Nityananda Prabhu, and the sublime object of love for Gadadhara Pandita and Advaita Acarya Prabhu! He is very dear to Sri Jagadananda Pandita, and the tender loving hearts of Vakresvara Pandita and Kasisvara. He is the Lord and master of Srivasa and His other beloved associates. O Lord, kindly look upon the living entities with divine benevolence.** ** Note this is a proof of the Panca-tattva mantra: Jai Sri-Krishna Caitanya, Prabhu Nityananda Sri Advaita, Gadadhara, Srivasa-adi-gaura-bhakta-vrinda "I offer my obeisances to Sri Krsna Caitanya, Prabhu Nityananda, Sri Advaita, Gadadhara, Srivasa and all others in the line of devotion." 'All devotees of Lord Caitanya or Nityananda are worshipable persons.' >>> Ref. VedaBase =>Caitanya-caritamrita, Adi-lila 7.165 The descriptions recorded in the Madhya-khanda are like streams of nectar, which pours out into the ears. It melts the granite-like doubts and atheistic thoughts in the deep recesses of the heart. ---------------- My guru-maharaja worships his deities of Sri Krishna Caitanya and Prabhu Nityananda every single day. He takes them with him wherever he goes in the world and has been doing so for so many years, much longer than I can even say I've been a devotee. Sri Krishna Caitanya is very dear to Guru-maharaja and is securely situated in his heart. My spiritual master is dedicated to Sri Krishna Caitanya Mahaprabhu and Nityananda Prabhu. I cannot even speak of what kind of relation he has with them, but at least I can try to understand. If I would like to call myself his disciple, then that is the least I can do, to try to understand these things. If not then I could only call myself very unfortunate. Some may say that this is a very subtle and sublime matter, very difficult for 'normal' people to understand. That may be, but at least everybody can apply themselves to this meditation - if they at all consider themselves interested in Love for God or 'being on the spiritual path' - and see that it is actually the topmost treasure available in this world, Sri Krishna Caitanya is the Crest Jewel. For His followers he is the *safe bridge* to the spiritual world, to the eternal realm of pure, unalloyed divine love, in full cognizance. For those with spouses and/or offspring, who have love for these entities, then I say it would be good to cultivate 10x *more* love for Sri Krishna Caitanya Mahaprabhu and His devotees. This is the significance of "the sublime object of love for Gadadhara Pandita and Advaita Acarya Prabhu." For them, Lord Gauracandra is more dear than their life-air. This is the humble mood of an aspiring devotee in our line, who is interested in freeing himself from the temporary lights in this material playground and attaining the eternal, onipotent, self-effulgent goal far beyond common reckoning and the focus of all yogis, sages, rishis, devotees and such, known variously as the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Bhagavan, Govinda, Jehovah, Allah and Krishna. Your friend and servant, Vraja-kumara das PS Adi - I started writing this and I had a strong remembrance of you! Haribol! PPS If any kind devotee in the Krishna-katha conference could help me with this meditation in any way, I would be very happy! Haribol!
