Guest guest
> Bhavartha Dipika, Mangala Stotram 1. > > (reference: Sri Gaudiya Kanthahara) Bhavartha Dipika is a commentary on Srimad Bhagavatam by Sridhar Swami. I was wondering whether he adapted the sloka from somewhere else or he composed it. In the CC this sloka is quoted as follows: mukam karoti vacalam pangum langhayate girim yat-krpa tam aham vande paramananda-madhavam "‘The Supreme Personality of Godhead has the form of sac-cid-ananda-vigraha [bs. 5.1] -- transcendental bliss, knowledge and eternity. I offer my respectful obeisances unto Him, who turns the dumb into eloquent speakers and enables the lame to cross mountains. Such is the mercy of the Lord.'" PURPORT This is a quotation from the Bhavartha-dipika commentary on Srimad-Bhagavatam (1.1.1). >>> Ref. VedaBase => Madhya 17.80 Could someone tell us more about this sloka: what is it's origin and why there are two different versions?
