Pamho. AGTSP.

Does anyone have more information about the live of Kavi Karnapurna, the

associate of Lord Caitanya. I know about his childhood and how Lord

Caitanya blessed him. Is there some information on his later live.

Here is what I could find in the Gaudiya Vaisnava Abhidana. Maybe

someone else has more information?

97. KAVIKARNAPURA:

He belonged to Caitanya sakha. His real name was Paramananda Sen.

Lord

Caitanya gave him the name Karnapura. His father was Sivananda Sen (CC.

1.10.62). He was born in 1524 AD and his Sripata was at Kancanapalli

(or

Kancanapada). In 1494 (1562 AD) he composed Sri Caitanyacandrodaya in

Sanskrit. Four years later he composed Sri Gauraganoddesadipika.

Other books

written by Karnapura are listed as follows:

1. Anandavrndavanacampu

2. Sri Caitanyacaritmahakavya

3. Alamkar-Kaustubha

4. Dasamaskandhatika

5. Caitanyasahasranama stotra

When Paramananda was only seven years old he was taken by his

parents to

Nilacala. There he composed a wonderful sloka on the big toe of Lord

Caitanya

(CC. 1.16.73,75).
