Actually, no - his Asrama is not inside ISKCON - but that is by-the-by. I would not expect salaries in any temple or asrama, Gaudiya Vaisnava or not, and I accept your points wholeheartedly. Don't get me wrong, I think people need to be looked after and not worry (after all, if they worry about things, then they can't serve Krsna properly). However, my comment there was, I suppose, me trying to say that when I lived in the asrama as a brahmacari there was never a question of that. The asrama provides for everything, but the brahmacaris don't need anything. That's how it ought to be. A loving affair - they tend the deity, and are therefore looked after in kind. The brahmacaris and sannyasis are renounced, so all they need is some funds put aside together to nicely look after the deity, to preach well, and to look after themselves a bit - but not personal funds! Share and share alike... all we had was the asrama chequebook, and whoever had some coins in their kurta pockets! So then the unpaid TP should manange the paid managers of the Temple businesses . I offer my respectful obeisances unto the lotus feet of such a Temple President .
