I wouldn't doubt Srila Prabhupada's translation, although the

transliteration may be faulty.

 

This appears not to be a sloka but a Bengali vernacular saying, in which

rules of spelling, syntax, and grammar needn't be followed strictly. (As

found also in the verses of Caitanya Caritamrta etc.)

bhajan korar, sadhan korar, martye jante hoy.

 

I'm not aware of the original source. I've quoted it many times to Bengalis

and no one I've quoted it to was familiar with it.
