The spring season (vasanta, the king of seasons) always serves Radha-kunda.

Vrnda and her maidservants sweep the pathways, courtyards, and forest

cottages and sprinkle them with scented water. The many swings, platforms,

decorative archways, strands of flowers, and overhanging tapestries add to

the celestial atmosphere.

The pollen and honey dripping from the lilies, blue, pink, red, and white

lotus flowers keeps the water of Radha-kunda fresh and sweet. The sweet

songs of swans, cranes, mudagu, dahuka, laksmana, and cakravaka birds

resound around the kunda. The male and female parrots recite poems about

Yugala-kisora’s pastimes. The peacocks often mistake Krsna to be a rain

cloud. At that time, they fan their tail feathers and dance while calling,

“ke-ka! ke-ka!” Immediately upon seeing Krsna, other exotic birds such as

the haritas, catakas, and parabats shiver in joy and sing songs that are

nectar for the ears. The cakoras reject the moon in order to relish the moon

of Krsna’s beautiful face, which outshines millions of full moons.
