Hare Krsna,

Dear Devotees, please accept my humble obeisances.

All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

I would like to ask what is the proper standard of blowing the conch on the

altar before and after arati. Is it proper to blow towards the Deity, is it

proper to do it inside the altar behind the closed curtain?

I was always told to do it from the same position one performed the arati,

and before the curtains opened and the start, but before the curtains

closed at the end. This seems pretty standard, but Pancaratra-pradipa

should be quite clear on it.

Your servant,
