Guest guest
Dear Prabhu, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. When offering bhoga, the recommendation is "Each of the following four mantras should be softly repeated three times." (Cookbooks, Great Vegetarian Dishes) I know many devotees who chant each mantra once only in succesion, then repeat these four mantras twice more, ie. 4 mantras chanted 3 times. My interpretation of the recommendation is chant each mantra three times then progress to the next, with the exception of the Srila-Prabhupada-pranati, where the two verses are chanted together three times. One important point is that initiated non-Srila Prabhupada disciples must first chant their personal guru's prenama mantra(s) also three times. Also some devotees instruct to chant the Hare Krishna maha-mantra three times in addition. Would it be possible for us to hold a mini-concensus here and the learned assembled vaisnavas give their respected understandings on this matter? Your servant, Vraja Kumara das
