Actually lust and sex are there in spiritual life, but when the spirit soul

is embodied in material elements, that spiritual urge is expressed through

the material body and is therefore pervertedly reflected. When one actually

becomes conversant in the science of Krsna consciousness, he can understand

that his material desire for sex is abominable, whereas spiritual sex is

desirable.

TLC 31: The Supreme Perfection

The body requires to eat. The body requires rest. The body requires sex. The

body requires defense. But the soul does not require.

Bhagavad-gita 9.2 -- Melbourne, April 20, 1976

Hrdayananda: (translating question) If everyone is spirit soul, then isn't

sex life also spiritual?

Prabhupada: Well, sex life... There is no sex life in the spirit soul. Sex

life is in the material body. We are not this body, but because we are in

this body, therefore we are thinking pleasure of the body is pleasure of the

soul.
