Srila Prabhupada clearly said that in the vedic system, devotees take shelter of sacred rivers, holy places and Holy Name especially during eclipse. Bhagavata Vidhi recommended instead of Panca Ratriki Vidhi. If we should down temples and go for some other mundane things then there is a problem. If it is just chanting and no other service for a change, even an inauspicious eclipse becomes auspicious. So we can simply follow that. Here during the recent lunar eclipse I and my family chanted some 164 malas during the eclipse. My self 47 malas. My good wife Geeta Gamya Radhika Devi Dasi 45 malas My son Anurag (9) 40 malas My son Caitanya (7) 32 malas. For a change it was good, and this is an all time record of chanting for our family, on a single day. Your humble servant, Bhadra Govinda Dasa.
