Inversely so for those in mleccha consciousness. > It is not clear how old the students referred to are but labeling someone of mleccha consciousness at any age, because they haven't grasped the importance of distinguishing the duties of the right or left hands is perhaps unnecessarily harsh and not likely to encourage cooperation.Perhaps it is a question of his heart, not his hand that Krsna was pleased with Sudama Vipra. Sudama Vipra suffered severe material scarcity, but he was not disturbed and did not deviate from devotional service.>>> Ref. VedaBase => SB 8.22.31 Lord Krsna is attracted to the humble. For example, He was very pleased by the unpretentious behavior of Sudama Vipra, and He blessed him in many ways. >>> Ref. VedaBase => NBS 27 We may understand that this humble attitude assured Sudama Vipra final success in his execution of bhakti-yoga by the standard process of hearing and repeating the glories of Lord Krsna.>>> Ref. VedaBase => SB 10.81.37 Sudama Vipra was born in a family of brahmanas, and he was a learned scholar and a class friend of Krsna's, yet he considered himself unfit to be strictly called a brahmana. He called himself a brahma-bandhu, meaning "one born in a brahmana family but not brahminically qualified." Because of His great respect for brahmanas, however, Krsna embraced Sudama Vipra, although he was not a regular brahmana but a brahma-bandhu, or friend of a brahmana family.>>> Ref. VedaBase => Adi 17.78 It is the devotee's attitude of love and affection for Krsna that makes Him obliged. A very nice example of this obligatory behavior was manifested when Sudama Vipra went to Krsna's palace. Sudama Vipra had been a class friend of Krsna's, and due to his poverty he was induced by his wife to see Krsna to request some aid. When Sudama Vipra reached Krsna's palace, Krsna received him very well, and both He and His wife washed the feet of Sudama Vipra, showing respect to the brahmana. >>> Ref. VedaBase => 40. Controlled by Love The vivid example is Sudama Vipra. He was a qualified brahmana, unattached to all sorts of material sense enjoyment, and at the same time a great devotee of Lord Krsna.>>> Ref.
