Who is Bhaktivedanta Tirtha Maharaja? What authority > does he have? > > Please enlighten What authority does anyone have? Guru, sadhu and sastra. This is the general authority for any Gaudiya Vaishnava. Bhaktivedanta Tirtha Maharaja is a disciple of Bhaktivedanta Vamana Maharaja, a disciple of Srila Prabhupada's sannyasa guru, Bhaktiprajnana Kesava Maharaja. So watch out, he may not be in ISKCON. So perhaps you may not consider his guru, sadhu and sastra authoritative. I would be obliged if you would first ask for the reference, and then, if not available, call it speculation. Otherwise, your good self may be blaming Srila Visvanatha Chakravarti or anyone as a speculator, whose teachings Sripad Tirtha Maharaja might present. Regarding the manjaris, Rati Manjari we know, he is Raghunath dasa Goswami, Kamala Manjari is Thakur Bhaktivinode, as in his writings, and Vinoda Manjari is Bhaktiprajnana Kesava Goswami, as per his own revelation of it. They all have their group of followers. I do not find any speculation in this. Should there be any further questions in this regard, they may be addressed to Maharaja himself, preferably in a submissive state of mind, instead of being in a challenging mood, "Who are you to say anything", like that. He may be reached at gourgovinda (AT) hotmail (DOT) com, if there would occur any situation for a submissive inquiry, and if this would happen, I would be very obliged to hear his answers too, which I trust would be posted here by your good self. I hope that your bhajan is going well. Vaishnavadasanudas, Atul Krishna das
