One is probably from Visnu Purana and says that if one eats grains on appearance day of Visnu goes to hell (or something similar). The other is about someone who chants the Holy Name, that the planets, ghosts, ancestors etc cannot influence him. Unfortunately I do not remember more exactly the translations.
