Guest guest
Dear Pandava Vijaya Prabhu, We appreciated your wonderful story about Buddhimanta Prabhu. But if Buddhimanta knew that you were saying he was Prabhupada's first book distributor he would be very unhappy with you. Although he was the first to distribute Prabhupada's books in large quantities, and taught others how to do it as well, it was Jayananda Prabhu who first went out to distribute Prabhupada's books, a full 2 years before Buddhimanta joined the movement. Although Jayananda didn't do as big as Buddhimanta, he did it with equal sincerity and enthusiasm. yours in service, vaiyasaki dasa... Guest guest
PAMHO.ALGTSP. thanks...in the lilamitra it said the first big book distributors were in a gas station outside of SF. the attendant asked if he could have a book for the gas..(that was Buddhi)and that was the first big book distributed according to the Lilamitra.. I have it quotes on this web site http://www.iskcon.net/hktv/hktv18.htm Buddhi would be uptight about it. But on his the day he left I put that out every year...hey, he was my friend. he never took any credit for it... I hope you are well wherever you are...I do a weekly TV show on prime time...getting some nice responses. I should have been more specific and will in the future-but I knocked it out in 2 minutes... Guest guest
Dear Maharaja, PAMHO.ALTSP> >What's that wonderful story about Buddhimanta Prabhu? I missed it. I met Buddhi when I was very ill in the hospital in LA. He was ill also. We had many many talks and went to the doctor together, the temple, etc. we became good friends. He never took ANY credit for book distribution and said anybody would have traded the gas for the book. I asked Buddhi if he was a little disturbed that ISKCON had not offered him any help in his time of need(he had brain cancer) and he replied" not at all because Prabhupada said when he left ISKCON would be his body." I left LA and returned to Texas in 1988 and we kept in touch with a few letters and phone calls and he went to Vrindavin and left his body on Siva Rati-feb 13 1990. I put this little deal on the web every Feb 13. your servant bringing the sampradaya to TV, Pandava vijaya dasa Turn on,Tune in,Go back to Godhead every Friday 7:30pm or watch on video 648,000 homes receive HKTV Hare KrishnaTV/Dangerous TV http://www.iskcon.net/hktv
