Guest guest
Dear Prabhus, PAMHO. AGTSP! May be it is not right I am doing here, but I felt when we write something or answer someone question, how we address each other. I think that we should remind our selves that we are in public conference, which many of other, mean none devotee has also gets some of our text & messages. Our Vinod-Bihari Prabhu answers the question which was ask by our Syamananda Prabhu, whose is one of TP for one of Iskcons most famous temple in world Sri-Sri Radha Gopinath Mandir, which managed under the guide line of HH Radhanath Swami. I don't think it is a appropriate to VBP to write hello Bombay, when he's GM has given him the name Syamananda das. By the way Syamananda Prabhu didn't ask question by writing hello Den Haag or hello Krsna Katha. Even the civilian don't answer the question out side world hello Bombay, so we suppose to be a devotee, and specially our beloved HH Bhakticaru Maharaja has given many seminars on "Vaishnva Etiquette", so why not we try to follow. At least in public pleases or conference. Please we should be little thoughtful about our Founder Acarya: Srila Prabhupadas prestige. I am sorry for been fanatic and sentiment about my feelings on Vinod-Bihari Prabhus comment. Thank you. Hare Krishna! Guest guest
Dear Prabhus, PAMHO. AGTSP! May be it is not right for me, to pass this comment. Somehow other I felt, that when we write something or answer someones question, how we address each other. I feel that we should remind our selves that we are in public conference. Which many of the public member (none devotte) has exces to, some of our text & messages they do receive. I have seen this, I don't how this works. Guest guest
Respected Vaishnavas, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. > I am sorry for been fanatic and sentiment about my feelings on > Vinod-Bihari Prabhus comment. Apart from the address I don't think the reply is appropriate in this context because Shyamandana Prabhu is a very senior and advanced devotee who surely knows the translation of GOPINATH, especially as TP of Radha Gopinath Mandir. The word "here" is his question seems to be quite significant. If there is any further explantion please forward it to me also. your servant Malati-manjari dasi
Guest guest
Dear Vaisnavas, Please accept my respectful dandavats All glories to Srila Prabhupada All glories to Gurumaharaja I just realised what I have done. I didn't know that I sent this letter. Please forgive this fool. But let me explain. The "Hello Bombay" part. You see, I was at the university and there I have this email client called The Bat. It is a nice program, only it automatically (sript language) uses the name of the email address. So when you use that email client to reply on my letter you'll get this automatically: Hello Den Haag, Haribol, QUOTED TEXT your servant, Vinod-bihari das The above is an inserted text by the email client. It gets worse, I only typed the meaning of Gopinath, but I didn't get to comment further. As Mother Malati said, I know who Shyamananda Prabhu is, I definetely know that he knows what Gopinatha means. I intended to write a PRIVATE (instead it went public) email asking Shyamananda Prabhu if the 'Gopa Gopinath' part didn't belong together instead of 'Gopinath' alone. I have no knowledge of sanskrit, so I am certainly no expert. I looked at my watch and I realised that I was late for class, so I closed the program thinking that it would just discard the text. Unfortunately it sent the unfinished text. You must have noticed the " SdRCBI>" That is also automatically done, I always delete that part, because the email client's script use the first letters of the email address. So I beg forgiveness from all the Vaisnavas, especially from Shyamananda Prabhuji, of whom I think as a very advanced devotee. Also I would like to thank Sriman Pandit Prabhu for correcting this mistake so soon. If you had not corrected this mistake Prabhu, I would never have known. Please dear Prabhu, keep on doing this because I had committed vaisnava aparadha and now I have the chance to beg forgiveness from the vaisnavas. I would not have been able to grow spiritually without the mercy of vaisnavas like you who take such care and show so much compassion on fallen souls like me. As for Vaisnava Ettiquette, yes you are very right. Actually the email client I used, is no excuse for such a mistake, but it happened, so I have learned a lesson, that one should always be very concentrated on what one is doing. Just like devotional service, one has to be serious, and I was not....otherwise I would have been more careful using email, especially when it concerns emailing Vaisnavas. Again, please forgive this ignorant fool for his unresponsible behaviour. I attended Vaisnava Ettiquette and H.H. Bhakti Charu Swami said, that the junior serves the senior, and the senior is compassionate towards the junior. So please forgive me. your humble servant, Vinod-bihari das PS Just to make sure, I don't use that email client for COM anymore, instead I just use WinCom again. Guest guest
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada >I have heard another rendition, which goes like this - >"Sri Sri Radha Krishna Gopa GOPIKA Shyamakunda Radhakunda Giri Govardhana >ki jaya!" If I am not mistaken, the alternative meaning is used by the Vaisnavas of the Gaudiya Math and goes: "Sri Sri Radha-Krsna GOPA GOPI GO Shyamakunda Radhakunda Giri-Govardhana ki-jaya" Here Gopa Gopi Go stands for eternal associates of Sri Sri Radha-Krsna in Their Vraja pastimes - the gopas (cowherd boys), the gopis (cowherd girls) and the go (cows and calves themselves). Srila Prabhupada introduced Gopa-Gopinath which means that Lord Krsna, mentioned just prior to this, is the transcendental master and protector of the gopas and gopis. He got critisized by some of the Gaudiya Math Vaisnavas for that, but as we can see, the meaning is pretty much the same and just puts emphasis on Lord Krsna as the central figure of Vraja lila.
