The source of my information was Sri Saci Kumar Prabhu, ISKCON Mayapur's top bhajan wallah. He said that it was written by Hazibullah Islam (sp?) a famous Muslim poet. Since I mentioned this to Goswami Maharaja, others have expressed a doubt that it could have been written by a karmi, but no one has any definitive information.
