Dear devotees,

Please accept my humble obeisances.

All glories to Srila Prabhupada and His faithful followers!

On this most auspicious day I thought you may like reading some nectar on

the glories of Gadadhara Pandita.

Srila Krsnadas Kaviraja Goswami wrote in the Antya-lila of His

Caitanya-caritamrta, verse 166, chap.7:

"Gadadhara Pandita is celebrated all over the world for His gentle behavior,

His brahminical attributes and His steady love for Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu."

An ecstatic pastime is available in Srila Prabhupada's translation of the

Sri Caitanya-cartamrta, chapter 16, verse 130-149 in the Madhya-lila, for

those among you who are interested in a most substantial recall...

Srila Vrndavana das Thakura mentioned in His Caitanya-Bhagavat:

"All night kirtans on the seashore at Jagannath Puri became more frequent,

and Lord Caitanya participated with the ecstatic dancing. It was around this

time that Gadadhara Pandita began to spend practically all his time with Sri

Caitanya. They ate together, slept together, went on walks together.

Gadadhara Pandita served Lord Caitanya continuously. When He read aloud to

the Lord from the Srimad-Bhagavatam, the Lord entered a state of blissful

trance. Gadadhara Pandita's voice always made Him happy, and he would

accompany Lord Gauranga to visit different Vaisnavas."

There is also a beautiful verse in Gaura-govindarcana-smarana-paddhati:

"I meditate on Sri Gadadhara Pandita Goswami, whose lotus feet are full of

the nectar of compassion. Gadai has a golden luster resembling that of Sri

Caitanya-candra. With His arm extended, He offers tambula to the mouth of

Gaurasundara. He dresses in fine white cloth. He is the best of sadhus and

is the very form of blissful love. Gadadhara has a sweet, smiling face. His

eyes always look upon the attractive form of Sri Gaura."

Your servant,

Krsna-kirtana dasi.
