(Song from Kripalu Maharaj, milana madhuri 2) (A clever gopi alerts another simple-hearted innocent gopi against meeting with Syamasundara) "O sakhi, dont^t go anywhere all alone because I have heard that the son of Nanda, Syamasundara, loiters around in the lanes of Braja, doing magic. He is an adolescent and also the head of pranksters. You, too, are an adolescent and, in addition, extremely innocent and simple-hearted. That deceitful boy knows various types of magic, black magic and everything of the sort. Follow my advice fully. O sakhi! Without saying anything, He makes every maiden of Braja His own by captivating her heart forever merely by the gestures of His eyes. After becoming His, you will run from hither to tither like a mad woman, saying "ha Praneshvara! ha Prananatha!" desperately yearning for His sweet union. Renouncing the worldly decoruns altogether, you will constantly dance, drowned in the ocean of love, looking like a patient of delirium. All the maidens of Braja who confronted Him have been deceived by Him. There is not a single soul in the whole world who does not become mad after seeing Him." SB 4.9.11 TRANSLATION Dhruva Mah€r€ja continued: O unlimited Lord, kindly bless me so that I may associate with great devotees who engage in Your transcendental loving service constantly, as the waves of a river constantly flow. Such transcendental devotees are completely situated in an uncontaminated state of life. By the process of devotional service I shall surely be able to cross the nescient ocean of material existence, which is filled with the waves of blazing, firelike dangers. It will be very easy for me, for I am becoming mad to hear about Your transcendental qualities and pastimes, which are eternally existent. Then the devotee is fixed in his vow as an eternal servant of the Lord, and he gradually becomes very much attached to a particular name and form of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. As his heart melts with ecstatic love, he laughs very loudly or cries or shouts. Sometimes he sings and dances like a madman, for he is indifferent to public opinion.
