To his disciples, who had to bear the backlash their guru-mahäräja's

unabashed outspokenness inevitably attracted, Bhaktisiddhänta Sarasvaté

would often say that even if the whole world was against him, if not a

single person were to stay with him, and if those who had made a pretence of

coming to him were to one by one go away, still under the protection of his

gurudeva's lotus feet he would fearlessly and without stopping preach the

unadulterated truth until the last moment he remained in this world; and

that if any day such truth was to enter the ear of even one fortunate soul,

then through that single person the whole universe would attain the topmost

benefit.
