Guest guest
A recent BTG article about Srila Gaura Kisora Dasa Babaji mentioned his "close friend" Lalita Didi. As this is a female name, it gives the impression that Babaji Maharaja had female friends; although actually it refers to a male sahajiya who used to dress and act as a woman. Understood either way, it projects Babaji Maharaja as keeping improper association. Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati explained that certain persons used to think themselves close to Babaji Maharaja but that he never cared for them. It is better to accept our acaryas' conclusions rather than those of others outside our line, such as Sri Haridasa Dasa (from who the quote about Lalita Didi was taken), who although a recognized scholar had marked differences with those in the line of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati.
