Vedicly speaking means to quote from the source where something was heard or read. I, for one, have never heard this reason. I have heard that women are not supposed to offer dandavats, but I was too busy in Kartik to consult anyone and find some actual pramana on this. > I saw on my daily vrndvana city parikrama, that certainly in Vraja during > purushottama adhika masa I saw, without any exceptions, a large number of > all the vrajavasi ladies offering dandavats on parikrama *on their sides.* > not allowing their breasts to touch the ground. You will also see the men do this! You only saw them after they had been doing it for some time. Your knees wear out after a while (maybe breast too!) so you do it on one side, then the other, then front again. In Mayapur each year we see the ladies rolling on the floor in front of the kirtan. You could argue, though, that they were manifesting spontaneous symptoms of ecstacy and therefore transgressed minor rules. => Anyway, now that I have some time, I can do a little research on it.
