Guest guest Posted March 9, 2001 Report Share Posted March 9, 2001 Text 96 samsara-duhkha-jaladhau patitasya kama- krodhadi-nakra-makaraih kavali-krtasya durvasana-nigaditasya nirasrayasya gauranga-pitha mama dehi krpavalambam samsara-of repeated birth and death; duhkha-of the sufferings; jaladhau-in the ocean; patitasya-fallen; kama-lust; krodha-and anger; adi-beginning; nakra-crocodiles; makaraih-and sharks; kavali-a mouthful; krtasya-being made; durvasana-by wicked desires; nigaditasya-chained; nirasrayasya-without any shelter; gauranga-of Lord Caitanya; pitha-O sacred abode; mama-to me; dehi-please give; krpa-of mercy; avalambam-the gift. Being very tightly chained by sinful desires, I have fallen into the painful ocean of repeated birth and death. In that ocean, the sharks and crocodiles of lust and anger are devouring me alive. I have no shelter.
