Guest guest
Dear devotees, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada and his pure followers! Please kindly notice that it is Jahnava Devi who is Ananga-manjari. In his book "Appreciating Sri Vrndavana Dhama" Mahanidhi Swami wrote: 'Directly under Lalita-sakhi is Sri Rupa-manjari (known as Srila Rupa Goswami in Bhauma-Vrndavana), who leads all the manjaris including Rati-manjari (Raghunatha das Goswami), Lavanga-manjari (Sanatana Goswami), Vilas-manjari (Jiva Goswami), Raga-manjari (Raghunatha Bhatta Goswami), Guna-manjari (Gopala Bhatta Goswami).' In my humble opinion, this list is most accurate. Feel free to disagree, Ramananda Gaura prabhu, but please rest assured that this statement above is confirmed by our most prominent Gaudiya Vaisnava Acaryas. I don't have the book you quoted with me to check, but it is a fact that Ananga-manjari is Jahnava-devi. The simple fact that Jahnava-mata was Lord Nityananda's second wife but had no children from Him and that She gave initiation to his son, Virabhadra Prabhu, and to other great vaisnavas confirms the fact that she is Ananga-manjari, Lord Balarama's eternal consort and the young sister of Srimati Radharani. ISKCON has such a hard time acknowledging the great vaisnavi-women who were qualified spiritual masters in our Gaudiya vaisnava sampradaya! "In the antya-lila of Caitanya-caritamrta, chapter two, verse 104-106, there is a description of Madhavidevi. Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu considered her to be one of the maidservants of Srimati Radharani. Within this world, Caitanya Mahaprabhu had three and a half very confidential devotees. The three were Svarupa Gosani, Sri Ramananda Raya and Sikhi Mahiti, and Sikhi Mahiti's sister, Madhavidevi, being a woman, was considered to be the half. Thus it is known that Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu had three and a half confidential devotees." (Srila Krsnadas Kaviraja Goswami's Caitanya-caritamrta Adi-lila, chap.10, verse 137 + Srila Prabhupada's purport) > 1.Rupa Goswami- Rupa Manjari > 2.Jiva Goswami- Vilas Manjari > 3.Sanatana Goswami - Labanga Manjari. > 4.Raghunatha das Goswami - Rati,Rasa Manjari > 5.Raghunatha Bhatta Goswami - Raga Manjari. > 6.Gopala Bhatta Goswami - Guna,Ananga Manjari > 7.Krishna das Kaviraj- Kasturi Manjar > 8.Lokanath Goswami - Manjulali Manjari > 9.Narottama das Thakur - Camak Manjari > 10.Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakur - Vinoda Manjari > 11.Jagannath das Babaji - Rasika Manjari > 12.Bhaktivinoda Thakur - Kamala Manjari > 13.GauraKisor das Babaji - Guna Manjari > 14.Bhaktisiddhanta- Nayana Manjari > >(Excerpts From Prabhupada At Radha-Damodara- by Mahanidhi Swami.) > > YHS Ramananda Gaura das > Krsnapremavati dd.
