Hare Krsna. "Green eyes" is a mistake -- a mishearing fom the tape -- and it appears only in the oldest KB editions (the ones from the 70's). Already the Great Classics of India (1986) edition has it corrected, as well as the edition that was published in the 90's and the Vedabase. The sentence in question reads, in an edition predating GCI: "She had green eyes, pink lips, and a beautiful face..." ....and in the Great Classics Edition: "Her cheeks were high, and she had pink lips and a beautiful face..." The Bhagavatam verse where this description comes from (or rather a cluster of verses, 10.53.51-55) says nothing about Rukimini's having green eyes or high cheeks. Dark color for Rukmini's eyes, on the other hand, is mentioned in 10.52.26: asita--dark; apangi--the corner of whose eyes. So it seems to be the color of her eyelashes (?), not necessarily irises.
