Dear Maharajas and Prabhus

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

Day 9. Radhakund to Deeg. Our walk today took us out of Radhakund and on

to Deeg, Rajasthan. We again visited Kusum Sarova, a large, beautiful kund

on the parikrama path of Giriraja. Kusum means flower and Sarova means

pond. Here gopis would come to pick flowers for Krsna.

Our stops also included Chakreswara Mahadeva temple. This Siva linga is one

of the 4 presiding Siva lingas worshiped in Vraja. When Sanatana Goswami

was thinking about moving from this place because of botheration due to

mosquito bites, Lord Siva (Chakreswara) told him that the mosquitos would no

longer disturb him. Even now this place is free from mosquitos.

Sanatana Goswami's Bhajan kutir. Sanatana Goswami lived here in his old age

on the banks of Manasi Ganga. He worshipped Madan Mohan here before the

temple was built and used to keep Him under a tree. He spent 43 years in

Vraja, while writing many books, touring Vraja extensively and rediscovering

many lost pastime places of Radha Krsna.

Gantholi. This is the village where the Gopal deity (Srinathji) was once

kept. Lord Caitanya came here for His darshan.

Bahaj, the village where Indra climbed down from his elephant and walked

bare foot to Govinda kund after realizing his mistake for trying to harm the

Vrajavasis.

Day 10. Deeg to Badrinath. Once Narada Muni and the cowherd men wanted to

go on pilgrimage to the Himalayas. Krsna informed them that Badrinath and

Kedarnath were manifested in Vraja and that the same benefits would be

derived simply by visiting these places in Vraja.

Today we stopped at Kadambakanana, the area where the Surabhi, Indra and

Airvata kunds are situated.

Badri, the original Badarikasram in Vraj.

Badri Narayan Mandir. The 2 deities Nara and Narayan, represent the

Personality of Godhead, in His incarnation as Nara and Narayana Rishis, who

have been undergoing great penances since time immemorial for the welfare of

all living entities.

We will be staying here for 2 nights so that we can do parikrama of

Badrinath tomorrow.

"Please offer my respects to all the dedicated and austere devotees who are

blessing our movement by performing the vraja mandala parikrama." (Message

received from HH Kavicandra Swami)

Your servant,

Ekanath dasa
