With all due respect, where is there a question of wrangling here, or of enjoyment thereof? Krishna Katha means discussions of Sri Krishna, His pastimes, His philosophy, and the teachings of His dear devotees. I tried my level best to present a concrete understanding of the teachings of the Hari-Bhakti-Vilasa. After all, these instructions weren't written for hobby only, and they aren't wholesale negligible simply because we say we follow Prabhupada. I feel sorry if my sincere attempt to clarify the subject matter is taken as wrangling. > Many of the things listed are the most common foods, so giving them up is > some tapasya. But is not the essence of Ekadasi. Eating grains and > beans is sinful, but other fasting is voluntary according to one's taste. > If one does nirjala he will never have to worry about the details of > what to eat and what not to eat, and will be peacefull.. Otherwise, > whatever you eat, you can find some pandit who will say it is "verboten". Oh, this was not actually a list for Ekadasi-prasadam I quoted. It is a general dietary guideline.
