Raga-vartma-candrika: Text 9 .... kesucid guru mukhad, kesucid abhijna mahodauanuragi bhakta mukhat, kesucid bhakti mrsta cittavrttisu svata eva sphuritesu evatisayena pravrttih syat. .... When the greed for spontaneous devotional service arises in one's heart, some devotees are enlightened with the necessary knowledge to progress through their words of their guru, some through the words of a very advanced mahodaya devotee who is on the path of spontaneous devotion, or some through their own heart (revelation) and consciousness which has been purified by the practice of devotional service.
