This fact is mentioned in the book Prema-vilasa. Because he lived near the house of the Kazi, the Kazi was also considered one of the maternal uncles of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu. I checked in the original commentary of Om Visnupada Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura Prabhupada, and he also quotes from and names the book "Prema Vilasa" in the above context. This is only quote available from the acaryas about this book as far as I know. So it seems that the book itself is bonafide. But since Gaudiya Math did'nt publish an edition of this book, which edition is accepted as bonafide? Because I know that there is an edition from maybe the apasampradayas. There are two editions (one with 20 chps & other with 24 chps) but is either one bonafide? Maybe Isvara Prabhu can comment because he is working on this book.
