Has anyone asked from Subhag Swami, the one who produced the English translation of the title? I'd expect him to be quite up to date with the Gaudiya tradition. Sivananda prabhu, could you ask Subhag Maharaja if he's around? > But is there > any acarya in our line who has accepted Advaita Prakasa as bonafide? Anyone knows? Ekanath prabhu? Has anyone said anything about it? > What is the source of your birthdate of Lord Advaita Acarya? It is not > mentioned in the purport. I hope it is not again Advaita Prakasa itself. I did not find an exact scriptural reference. I am drawing the information from the following: "Sometime in January or February of 1434 the Lord known as Sri Advaita Acarya appeared. (According to others, He was born as late as 1466, but it is a well-known tradition that Sri Advaita Prabhu was fifty-two years old when Mahaprabhu was born)." "This event constitutes the disappearance of Advaita Prabhu in 1559 in Santipura. Advaita Prabhu was manifest on Earth for 125 years." (4.47-48) This is quoted from the "Sri Panca-tattva - The Five Features of God" by Satyaraja Dasa. He lists a vast quantity of resource material, but there is no specific note on which piece of information is from where. According to this title, Advaita Prabhu married when he was 50 (this would then be 1484), and Acyutananda, their first son, was born in 1493, seven years after Mahaprabhu. (4.37, 41) According to the Advaita Prakasa (chapter 11), Acyutananda was born in the month of Vaisakha, 1492. A similar account as in Satyaraja's book on Advaita's birth is given in "Gauradesa" by Manjari dasi, though she does not give a reference for it. I also found this figure at veda.harekrsna.cz, I believe the information is compiled by bhakta Jan. I added him as a receiver along with Manjari didi, perhaps they could provide a reference for the date. Prabhupada says that Advaita Prabhu was older than Jagannath Mishra, but that's about the only specific thing I found from the Vedabase in this regard. Does anyone know about the age of Jagannath Mishra?
